Beezie Madden – Show Jumping

Beezie Madden“We use the Sentry blanket every day on our horses to keep help keep them fit.  The training and competition are hard on their legs, stifles and backs, and the Sentry PEMF system reduces stiffness and soreness.  "I the Sentry both before and after they compete. I think it helps loosen their muscles up before competing, and it helps their muscles recover after competing which helps them have happier, healthier, longer, and more successful careers.  I use it everywhere we travel.”

Beezie Madden has continued her winning ways aboard her new partner Coral Reef Via Volo, as they captured their first win together in 2010 in the $75,000 Equine Couture/TuffRider Grand Prix, CSI 2*.

Aboard Authentic, they won the $200,000 CN Worldwide Grand Prix in Wellington, Fl on March 16 with a lightning fast jump-off round. That was on the heels of a WEF Challenge win three days earlier..

Show JumpingAt the Olympic Games in Beijing, Madden helped lead her team to the gold medal in the Team Jumping competition and also took the bronze medal in the Individual Jumping event.  In 2007, she won the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen in Germany, . Madden riding Authentic for this prestigious win over 40 of the world's best. To add to this honor, she was named leading rider in Aachen, one of the most coveted leading rider titles in the world.

In the past few years, Madden has been a critical member of the United States' teams. Riding in six out of the eight competitions, she anchored the team for the 2005 Samsung Super League, which the U.S., the only non-European team competing in the League, decisively won.

There are many more accomplishments as you go back to 2004, and earlier, but too many to mention here.  Beezie is a consummate professional and we are delighted to have her as a client.

Bruce Davidson-3 Day Eventing

Bruce Davidson"We’ve been using the laser a lot and we have particularly benefited from it at competitions. It is used here everyday at Chesterland for injuries as well as for wound therapy. The laser is an everyday tool in our production here. The Blanket is a great way to relax a horse’s back, I can feel a difference in the circulation and stimulation it creates. Before I began using the blanket I wouldn’t believe it but I am now at the point where I can tell if a horse has been blanketed or not before I go out and ride."

Bruce Davidson is a two time Three Day Event World Champion, and five time Olympic veteran. Davidson has been the U.S. Combined Training Association’s Rider of the Year a record fourteen times, he has won two Gold Medals, at the 1976 and 1984 Olympics. In 1995 Davidson was ranked number one in the world in the World Three Day Event Rider Rankings, a year in which he won an individual Gold Medal at the Pan Am Games and was the only American rider ever to win at the Badminton CCI.

Chester Weber-Driving

Combined Driver Chester Weber, whose name has become synonymous with Four-in-Hand driving throughout the world, achieved a record-setting win in October, 2009 – becoming the first driver to win the USEF National Four-In-Hand Driving Championships seven consecutive years in a row.

Weber now has his sights set on the 2010 World Equestrian Games, which will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park, and is currently ranked No. 1 on the USEF’s Four-In-Hand Selectors’ Ranking List for WEG. While 2009 has been a stellar year for Weber, it comes on the heels of an equally successful and historical 2008. Weber’ successful 2008 summer campaign in Europe earned him an Individual Silver Medal in the Four-in-Hand World Driving Championships in Beesd, The Netherlands – making him the first American to ever win an Individual Medal at the World Driving Championships. Weber was also named a 2008 USEF Equestrian of Honor and his horse, Jamaica, took home top honors as the 2008 Farnam Platform/USEF Horse of the Year.

Weber’s success in combined driving started early. At 18 years old, he was the youngest driver to be named to the United States Equestrian Team (USET) and to qualify for the World Pairs Driving Championship. By 1999, Weber had won 12 consecutive Advanced combined driving events and then transitioned to Four-in-Hand driving, where he has made a name for himself internationally.

Weber talks about the Sentry PEMF Blanket by Respond Systems

“Horses that are part of a Combined Driving team are athletes that work extremely hard, and my horses are no exception. I take the statement “no foot, no horse and no back, no horse” to heart which is why I use the Sentry PEMF Blanket by Respond Systems on my team. The blankets generate healing therapeutic magnetic fields that are safe, have no side effects, and treat sore backs, sore muscles and stiff, arthritic joints.

In the Beginning
I started using the Bio-Pulse Standard blankets in 1996, and I use them on all my horses. For the youngsters on my team who are reaching competition fitness for the first time, we use the blankets daily. Any horses I have with troublesome confirmation, or those who tend to have symptomatic backs, they get treated daily also. As for the rest of the team, they all get treated the week leading up to the shows and at the competitions.

I have two Bio-Pulse models and am planning on getting a Sentry model. The Sentry is lighter weight and has flashing LEDs on the pulsing coils, so it is easy to determine that the treatment is in progress. The Sentry also has extra hamstring and inside stifle coils.

The Impact

My horses work very hard with their backs and in order to stay in top condition I rely on the blankets to help keep my team at the top of their game. The Sentry and Bio-Pulse utilize pulsing coils that are built into a well-fitted sheet that covers major joints and muscles, so that all of the critical joints and muscles are treated quickly.

The system helps you to quickly warm up your horse without extensive hacking, and also helps your horse relax. The treatments are completed quickly, and can be done while your horse is on cross ties or enjoying his hay.  Because the treatments are fast, it means we can treat all of our horses. A total treatment takes about 30 minutes.

Recommendation
Anyone who already drives, or is interested in driving, knows they need to have horses with a loose top line or training is blocked. One of the reasons I use the Respond Systems blankets is because of what it does for my horses’ backs and because it loosens up the legs, feet, hocks and neck at the same time.

The blankets are easy to care for, portable and battery operated. I like it that they don’t have electrical wires. I also like that the modulated pulsing electro-magnetic field increases absorption of calcium in bones and improves the quality of cartilage in joints, decreasing pain dramatically.

Most owners who treat their horses with the Bio Pulse and Sentry blankets notice an improvement in the way their horses move and feel within a week or two. As a competitor who relies on my horses to feel their best, I count on my Bio-Pulse Blankets as part of my program.”
